The Swimming Pool
There's silly talk about returning to the womb.
That's not for me.
But as we learn more about our pre-birth existence,
The imagination expands;
Empathy engorges.
The low hum of the swimming pool heating system,
The smell of chlorine and clammy heat,
Mixes with watery echoes and excited pupil voices,
Sending this spectator into his swimming pool reverie.
That's not for me.
But as we learn more about our pre-birth existence,
The imagination expands;
Empathy engorges.
The low hum of the swimming pool heating system,
The smell of chlorine and clammy heat,
Mixes with watery echoes and excited pupil voices,
Sending this spectator into his swimming pool reverie.
